READERS’
CLUB ACTIVITY REPORT
To inculcate reading habit among children
from the early child hood a Readers club is functioning in the Vidyalaya and
conducts various activities during the academic year.
1. READING DAY & READING MONTH
Reading day was observed on 19 June 2019 and remembered Sh. PN Panicker who is known
as the father of Kerala Library Movement. Various activities were conducted in
the vidyalaya in connection with the Reading Day and Reading month as per the
activity Plan.
First of all Principal Sh. Shree Govind
Dubey administered the reading day pledge to the Vidyalaya in the assembly
which was followed by a brief talk in hindi
by kumari Aleena of class IX B on
‘Reading day and Mr. PN Panicker’. This was followed by a speech in English by
kumari Ardra of class IX B. Then kumari
Varada Govind of class XB and and Kumari Krishna Prem kumar of the same class
conducted a quiz on authors of famous books. This was followed by ‘Introduction
of Authors’ by students of Class XB & VIIIB. Kumari Harithanandini of class XB presented a book
review.
At the end Principal sh. Shree Govind
Dubey addressed the assembly and urged students to read more books and develop
a habit of regular reading. He also
appreciated the students who participated in the special program and motivated
every student for the active participation of students in the special programs
in the assembly.
2. SELECTION OF READERS CLUB LEADERS : 18
JULY 2019.
A meeting of the Readers’ Club was held in
the Vidyalaya Library on18 July to elect the Leaders of the Readers of the
Club.

Due
to holiday on 31 July, Special program in assembly was held on 01 August 2019.
On 1 August 2019 Special assembly program
was jointly presented by Hindi Department and Readers’ Club.
First of all Principal Sh. Shree Govind
Dubey and all teachers paid tribute to Munshi premchand.
Then Kumari Meenakshi of Clas XB made
aspeech on Munshi premchand . This was followed by book reviews of Munshi
premchand’s books by the following students.

Then Miss
Nila kurup of Class XB conducted an
interview with Munshi Prem Chand ( Master Madhav V of Class VI C acted as Prem
Chand).
This was followed by a
quiz on Munshi Prem chand and his books conducted by Miss. Varada Govind and Miss
Krishna Prem kumar of Class XB.
After the quiz Mr. Ganesh
Kumar Choudhary , PGT Hindi gave a talk
on Munshi prem chand and his works. The program concluded with Principal’s
address.
4. NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY
CELEBRATION ON 11 NOV 2019
On 11 Nov 2019, special assembly program was
conducted by the Readers’ club on the occasion of National Education day.
First of all principal Sh.
Alex Jose and the teachers paid tribute to Dr. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad by garlanding his portrait.
Then Ms. Bhama of
class IX A made a speech in English on
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and
Education Day.
This was followed by
the speech in hindi by Miss. Jewel Mariam Jose of class IX A and Ms. Meenakshi Ajit of Class XB.
Then Ms. Karthu Kishore and Ms. Anjana S Anil of class IX A conducted a quiz on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad
and Education day.
After the quiz
Mrs. Seema yogi, TGT Hindi gave a talk on Maulana Abul kalam Azad and his contribution in the field of education system in India.
At the end
Principal Mr. Alex Jose addressed Vidylaya assembly and acknowledged students
about Maulana Abul Kalam azad and his contribution to the Education system in
Independent India.. He asked students to avail the benefits of our education
system and contribute to the development of the country.
He also appreciated all the students participated
in the special program .
Then the assembly
concluded with national anthem.
